INDIVIDUAL THERAPY & COUNSELING
at Aletris in Scottsdale, AZ

The decision to seek a therapist is a personal one. What is it that sparks the journey? Often, you feel stuck in your life.

You're ready for a different perspective.

You need to lay everything out on the table, take stock, and head in a different direction. Things just aren't working the way they've been going.

Therapy can help you come to realizations very quickly - realizations that can dramatically change the way you think and do things in your everyday life. Ideally, it can be a catalyst for major positive change.

Every minute of the day, we each have thoughts that color our world, direct our actions, influence our personal interactions, and create health or disease within the body. Our thoughts and emotions are subjective experiences, yet they are such a vital part of our wellbeing. Even though we are often unaware, these thoughts and emotions – depending on whether they are positive or negative - can be a powerful creator of wellness or disease in each of us.

Why therapy? There are several avenues for dealing with unproductive thoughts and emotions. Some of us have a support system of friends and family to rely on. Some of us choose to go within and do little talking. Perhaps we engage in an activity like journaling, art, exercise, or another outlet. Many times these coping skills suffice. There are times, however, when we need more support. This is when individuals, couples, or families may choose therapy as an option.

Therapy creates a private space with a professional whose sole job is to help you see yourself in a new way, guide you to become aware of your thoughts and emotions, see what patterns serve you and which ones don't, and push you to new levels of self realization.

Because therapists are professionals, they do not come with the personal biases of even your most well meaning friends or family. They provide an effective avenue to help you create newer, better version of yourself.
